Why a Prayer Line? In our
heart-felt determination to fulfill Jesus' command "
To love one another as I have loved you, " we firmly
believe there is no greater way to express love for
another child of God than to pray for that person.
The
United Hearts Prayer Line was established in 1990 by
Theresa Maynard of Manchester, New Hampshire (USA) with a small
group of friends to pray for the wounded, broken, and
those dying from serious illness. The more this devoted
group prayed, the more calls they received requesting
prayers.
The
United Hearts Prayer line, which began with a group of 15
people, has grown into a world wide prayer line of over 2,000 people praying
for various requests. A 24-hour
phone line was created where prayer requests are noted in
an ongoing log and these intentions are kept in perpetual
prayer. If the situation changes, the intention is
updated and prayer continues.
Prayer
intentions now pour in from all over the world, on
the phone line, our e-mail address, and this website. Many healings have
been reported by those requesting prayer, and we are
always pleased to receive this information so we can
praise God and give Him all the glory for His Divine
Mercy of Love.
Who
should call?
Anyone
in need of prayer, or who would like to request prayer
for a family member, friend, acquaintance, business
associate, political leader etc., can call the United
Hearts Prayer Line... Remember, God hears all our prayers
and answers our requests according to His Holy and
Perfect Will of Wisdom... His answers may not always come in our time
frame and in the way we determine is best, but he always answers our prayers.
