Date: June 30, 2009 Request: I cried today thinking about - what if Bobby died?. The infectious disease dept. is not corresponding with the Oncology dept. They didn't get their info straightened out. The oncology dept is giving him the run around. He needs to have a bone marrow biopsy. They want to wait another month. We want to find out what is lowering (killing) his blood platelets. That is too far away - we will be on vacation. We paid for the cabin up in Meredith already. I do still worry about his health.Complete healing for Claire's ankle, fingers on left hand Kurt in basic training with the army in South Carolina. Bernard and Ritchie going to Afghanistan in Jan. Date: June 29, 2009 Request: Please pray for my nephew, Steven Giles who is having a fusion of his right ankle on Tuesday, June 30. He suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis and the doctors are going to try to save his right foot from amputation. We are praying that the reconnection of his foot to his ankle are going to do the trick. Steven also has staff infection in his body and has had to go off all the antibiotics because of the surgery. The doctors also want to isolate the strain of infection to identify it--then they will develop the antibiotic to properly kill the infection once and for all. Steven loves the Lord as does his wife and two little daughters. Please pray as well for his financial situation. He teaches school and works part-time as Sears Auto in Rock Hill. Thank you all for praying. I will send updates as we trust the Lord that he will NOT lose his right foot.Also pray for Tim Dallas who just had surgery because of blood clots in his left leg. He also had an aneurysm which was successfully removed. Tim has asked that we pray for his finances as he is now out of work for several weeks, and for his speedy recovery. Thank you so much.Gwen J. Date: June 27, 2009 Request: Praise report for intentions I sent June 22nd. I had venus closure procedure in surgeon's office. Okay. I don't have to wear compression stockings. Too hard to put on. She said ace bandage is okay. I am still wearing slippers with insert inside since May 4th. I want to wear my new shoes. They are comfortable except for rubbing inside of right ankle. Problem needs to be solved. Nothing is impossible with God. Thank God son is more polite. Found a nice girlfriend. He had successful shoulder surgery. Pray for father to be healed of his pornography, drinking, not being a practicing Catholic, and his relationships with 3 sons, 1 daughter, and his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. R. has not been as angry when I ask to please turn TV down after 11 and when I am trying to sleep. He can watch it and listen to it with me hearing it. He is living with me until he can find the right apartment. When will that be and where. Meanwhile I get to see him. Thank God for everything He ever gave us and everything He will ever give us. When he goes to bed if I make a sound or say something he will yell as loud as he can. That is getting better. Thank you for reading and for praying. Date: June 22, 2009 Request: I am 69 years young. Been wearing slippers since may 4th. New shoes and inserts very comfortable. Inside of right shoe was rubbing my broken veins inside right ankle. Have ulcer. Had ultra sound June 1st, HAVING ANOTHER ULTRA SOUND ON RIGHT LEG THIS MORNING, hopefully I am healed so Tues the 23 I won't need that venus closure procedure of 1 hour 1/2 procedure. Then we have to put on those compression stockings and they are so tight. I can't get them over my toes. Don't want to touch ankle as pulling those stockings on. Have to wear those for 2 weeks. Have another ultra sound June 25th. Follow up with the surgeon July 1st. For all doctor visits and lab results that all will be fine and stay fine. For my lungs, cholesterol, thyroid and high blood pressure. For any and all problems that we may have. For special hard situation on my daughter's job, that all will be resolved and there will be no repercussions. For all I pray for and their intentions and loved ones.
